The Multinational School Riyadh High School is really pleased to announce the awards received by our A Level candidates from 2012. These awards were presented at a British Council ceremony on February 26, 2013 to recognize Outstanding Cambridge Learners in Saudi Arabia.
In particular we would like to congratulate Albert Staszak for achieving the highest mark in AS Level Computing, Business Studies and English Language for the whole of Saudi Arabia. He also stood fourth in the world for Business Studies. This excellent result reflected all of Albert's hard work and that of his teachers, Mrs Rania Samir (Computing), Mrs Zehra Jabeen (Business Studies) and Ms Jill Isaacs (English Language). We would also like to congratulate his parents and thank them for their support in his endeavours.
Mrs Samir and Mrs Jabeen also had students stand first in the world and first in Riyadh in their respective disciplines.
Mrs Samir said it had been a delight to teach Albert because, not only does he work hard, he has always been willing to share his newly acquired IT skills and knowledge with his classmates.
After the high of receiving his award at the British Council Riyadh on Monday, Albert and his A Level Computing class will have to knuckle down and prepare for their final theory exams later this year.
We wish them, and all our GCE and IGCSE candidates for 2013, the best of luck.
Ann Phillips, Albert and Family
